Whether it’s NBA superstars or A-list rappers, renowned trainer Chris Brickley has collaborated with some of the world’s finest talents, both on and off the basketball court.

During the weekend, Brickley curated a list showcasing 10 musicians he has trained with, observing their skills in pick-up games on New York City’s West Side as part of his Black Ops Basketball sessions.

“This is a highly debated topic!! But let’s dive into it,” he posted on Instagram. “Which artist has the best game? I could have created 15 of these slides. But I picked 10. Let me know, who looks the best??? Also, what other artists can really hoop?”

Brickley’s list, seemingly without a specific ranking, features highlights from Drake, J. Cole, Justin Bieber, Lil Durk, Travis Scott, Quavo, Dave East, Chris Brown, Rowdy Rebel, and H.E.R.

Debate ensued in the comments, with even Chris Brown contributing by declaring Dave East, a former Division 1 basketball player for Towson University, as the true hooper. Brown asserted his own skills, challenging others by stating, “Y’all better stop playing I will cook the rest!!! Yall know my body.”

Quality Control Music A&R Wayno joined in, asserting that Dave East’s skills stand out, emphasizing that no other rapper could surpass him on the court even with just a month of training.

Sheck Wes expressed disbelief and labeled the list “blasphemy” for omitting him. The “Mo Bamba” rapper, having fulfilled his professional hoop dreams overseas in the French league during the 2021 season, stood his ground.

NBA star Damian Lillard of the Milwaukee Bucks took notice, acknowledging the list and awarding the title belt to Dax.
